Moonlight Stranger
One day a moonlight stranger came walking to our town
Who never considered the danger it was to hang around
He had a special callling to emancipate the mind
He grew up in the forests down along the Thyne
His best friend was a beardog from the Karelian wild
eating all his stories dressed in black and white
In Norwegian woods and forests down along the cove
an asylum and hidingplace where they could feed the stove
Chorus
When the moonlight`s there to guide you
Strangest feelings pale and blue
you`re conscious of that you`re the first one
and you sense the world is new
He went down to Santa Fe to meet his fellow-man
with stories of his hunting-ground and the promised land
He spoke to all the people that would gather round
But nobody really believed him when he told he had that secret sound
So he took his dusty bundle and carried on his way
He was a true believer he didn`t want to stay
I heard it in my heart I felt it in my vein
Heard the river whisper what we are on the point to gain
never mind the creatures coming from your father family past
it`s the essence of the acts you make you better make them last
Chorus
When the moonlight`s there to guide you
Strangest feelings pale and blue
you`re conscious of that you`re the first one
and you sense the world is new
The firstborn daughter
Is going outside
In the rainbow
There she glides
When she`s dancing she`s in transcending
Giving from her spring inside
