Living someone else's dreams
With no place for your own

Always carrying the burden
Of all those should have beens
Never really being certain
If the chance would come again

One time friends and maybe lovers
Turned away by iron walls
Leaving no chance to discover
The fear that lives within us all

Staying locked behind the curtain
While the world is closing in
Captive in a lifelong prison
Misery crawling on your skin

Reaching out with arms to weary
From hanging on with all their might
