A cross between ELO, Foo Fighters and Elvis Costello. Clutch at first Right from the start i hear clutch as far as the music is concerned. Then the song goes in a total different direction, almost a old 50's ish melody in the chorus. This band kicks @#%. Very tight, great performance and arrangement. The song never gets boring musically and vocally, love the harmonies at 2:37 very beach boys. Awesome job can't wait to hear more.

fiogf49gjkf0d GOODBYE TO THE GOOD THINGS
By Brent Rhodes
VERSE I
Looks like this silver spring has finally run you dry
And I don’t need your money tree no more
I see the mountaintop, but time won’t let you fly
PRE-CHORUS
I’ll never leave you on a ledge.
I’ll never hang you from a rope
I’ll just abandon you
Sit tight, I’ll be back soon
CHORUS
Cold, cold pink champagne
(Goodbye to the good things)
No one else to blame
(Goodbye to the good things)
One more heart to break
When I’m all alone,
then I’m coming home
VERSE II
I know you waited for me backstage at the show
Played you like a harp then let you go
Could I be evil just because I’m making dough?
PRE-CHORUS II
I’ll never leave you on a ledge.
I’ll never hang you from a rope
Good luck with the family
Sweet mother soon-to-be (Just wait, you’ll be so happy)
CHORUS II
Cold, cold pink champagne
(Goodbye to the good things)
No one else to blame
(Goodbye to the good things)
One more heart to break
When I’m all alone,
then I’m coming home
PRE-CHORUS III
I’ll never leave you on a ledge
I’ll never hang you from a rope
Your eyes look colder now
Here’s a year supply of wool
CHORUS
Cold, cold pink champagne
(Goodbye to the good things)
No one else to blame
(Goodbye to the good things)
One more heart to break
When I’m all alone,
then I’m coming
I’m coming
I’m coming home
