To quote Einstein: "Imagination is more important than knowledge", so here I go jumping right in on the first note of this amazing song, hitting the top down switch, turning on to # 10 just outside of Buckeye headed west chasing another mirage through the blazing light of the setting desert sun, destination anywhere but where I've been. Rascal's ears were flying in the wind as I put the pedal to the metal testing and tasting the "red line" zone. What a feeling!! I've always wanted to do that. "Sleepwalker" was pumping out of my surround speakers, but Fleetwood Mac and Abba were playing back-to-back musical chairs in my head. Perhaps it was serendipitous too that a mental Flashback to scenes and George Fenton's soundtrack of "Heaven's Prisoners", a movie I'd seen many years ago, sent a wave of adrenalin streaming through my veins making me feel suddenly twenty years younger as this so very cool, smooth and fast movin' bayou boat cruisin' tune hot-wired a pulsating beat in my head that I hadn't felt for some time. My age collided with my long past youth. The crash was nothing short of a spectacular kaleidoscope of memories, hopes and dreams re-stirred, re-lived, remixed, rewired and determined to never make the same mistakes again. I hear what you're saying Deb. No more pretending. This is real life drama. Live the rest of it in your face, eyes wide open. Forget the flats you think you hit here, you're bang on the heart and soul and every inch of passion in this song. Your vocals are dynamite girl ... hot, intense and beautiful. And Ash, your back-up vocals belong with the very best anywhere. The two of you make a magnetic genetic duo. The production is awesome, the lyrics are perceptive and foreboding, and the musicians are riding the crest of their game. It's a pleasure to have so much fun listening to a song. I've played "Sleepwalker" so many times I'd lay odds that Rascal knows the lyrics now too. I'm honored to welcome you to Legendary Music.
