It was a day I know I won’t forget as I watched the big airliner jets.
The pictures are forever in my mind.
In disbelief I heard the sounds as the towers tumbled to the ground.
So many gone. So many left behind.
Some decided how to die. They jumped the towers as we cried.
What a price to pay for terror of this kind.
Others chose to take them down before they crashed into the ground.
Heroes to all that’s left behind.
