Bukkfrog and Songong wandered down the road
Neither one of them carried much of a load
One was a peach, the other was a toad
Bukkfrog and Songong wandered down the road
Bukkfrog asked Songong “Where we headed to?”
Songong replied “Oh, someplace new
Where the lamb loves the lion and the Muslim loves the Jew
That, my dear Bukkfrog, is where we’re headed to.”
Bukkfrog ate a fly and pondered a while
“Does a place like that exist?” He asked with a smile
“Will we have to walk far or just a country mile?
Must we walk through fire or some other trial?”
Songong took a deep breath and then he sighed
“Bukkfrog, the place that we seek is here, inside
We’re only walking to enjoy the countryside
As far as where we’re going, well, we’ve already arrived.”
Bukkfrog smiled and then said with a grin
“There’s no time like the present then for us to begin
Being asleep through the journey is the only great sin
There’s nothing to lose and there’s nothing to win
The water is perfect so leave us jump in.”
Bukkfrog and Songong wandered down the road
Neither one of them carried much of a load
The bugs were plentiful and lawns were not mowed
Bukkfrog and Songong wandered down the road
