And you’re on your own but not alone

Slow Dark Waves
You follow shadows on this silvery beach
Always thought you would come back one day
Dark waves of memories but out of reach
Pebbles slipping back to the sea and away
You’ll be trapped again under the open starry sky
You’ll gladly lose yourself in a spinning world
Turning, turning around
I know how it feels when the dark will cause no fear
I know how it feels when the distant seems to be near
And you’re on your own but not alone in a peculiar way
Wandering along by the slow dark waves
Hearing mystical music from a local band
Thought I saw your shadow down by the hidden cave
And pebbles slipping away from land
To be on your own but not alone in a peculiar way
Or maybe together again
Beside dark waves
Close to home
