A little response to George Carlin's bit about why white people shouldn't play blues.

I saw a George Carlin rant on why white people shouldn't play the blues a few years ago and wrote this as a kind of response to his arguement. This is the title song of the 6 song cd by jo' blues of original songs - mainly acoustic blues - to come out in August 2011.

Well I was born in the ghetto,
but that dont mean I aint been poor.
Broke down and busted, sleeping on some dirty floor.
Well I know what its like to lose...
You bet your ass I got the blues
I aint lived down in the Delta
where Muddy water turns to wine.
But I drove through Mississippi
and I think I saw the sign.
Well I know what its like to lose...
You bet your ass I got the blues
I aint got no fancy hat
and all my hair dont want to grow
and when I asked that little girl
She told me I just dont know
Well I know what its like to lose...
You bet your ass I got the blues
Yeah, I know what its like to lose...
You bet your ass I got the blues
