More than just the name of a recording label and studio, Shoe City Sound is the creative home of Dolores Paradise and DJ Julio. They started out as vanguard in the Boston New Wave scene in the 1980’s, and were recognized for having highlighted the more artful and atmospheric aspects of that genre. Citing influences such as Impressionism, Motown, Euro Pop, World, and modern Chill-Out/downtempo electronica they are ever inventive and seeking out new space.
