DON'T FORGET THOSE OLD SONGS

I listen to those new songs the younger people sing
The beat is much too loud, and to me the words don't mean a thing.
I know that time moves on and this world changes without rest
So, to this changing world, here is my request:
Don't forget the old songs, they mean so much to me
Every line and melody holds a memory
Play one of those old songs of yesterdays gone bye
And make me sigh, and make me smile
And let me close my eyes and remember for a while:

The same Blue Moon, that saw me standing alone.

So I can close my eyes and be there once again.
