SCHOOL
Look at the house in which you live
It took an architect to draw its plan
He was no fool, he went to school
He studies hard and now he can draw that plan.
Look at the car in which you ride
It took an engineer to think through it
She was no fool, she went to school
She studied hard, and now she can do it.
If you want to enjoy the better things in life
And hope to reach a higher station
You had better be smart and study hard
And get yourself an education.
You don’t get the job, because you’re acting cool
In real life they think you’re funny!
They want to see how much you know
Before they pay you money.
You don’t feel well, ‘cause you’re sick
It takes a doctor to give the proper dose
He was no fool, he went to school
He studied hard and now he knows.
You can write and you can read
It took a teacher to show you how to do it
She was no fool, she went to school
She studied hard and now there’s nothing to it.
If you want to enjoy the better things in life
And hope to reach a higher station
You had better be smart and study hard
And get yourself an education.
You don’t get the job, because you’re acting cool
In real life they think you’re funny!
They want to see how much you know
Before they pay you money.
You’re getting sued and go to court
It takes a lawyer to get you through
She was no fool, whe went to school
She studied hard and now she’s helping you.
You have a brain that wants to learn
But you have to turn that page
Otherwise you end up a poor fool
Working for minimum wage.
Don’t be a fool, go to school!
Be cool, stay in school!
