This is song #6 on the album "Wooden Soul" by The Pawns, 8/16/19.

Matt Perez: Drums and percussion
Bob Elliott: Other noise

If a peaceful owl should come
and play a softer drum
a tune we all could hum
who would complain?

If a screeching owl arrives
and shatters all the ice
screeching through the nights
who could stay sane?

Tonight I heard the softer sound
opened my door and looked around
could it be that we been found by peace again?

If I hear that voice tomorrow
hollow content sorrow
return all that I borrowed
who would remain

But you, and owl, and I
and the big black night sky
to hoot, and howl, and cry
for night to rain?

Tonight I heard the softer sound
opened my door and looked around
could it be that we been found by peace again?

Here come the rain storm
come and keep your family warm x

Eve's New Life, Eve's New Station
Very original, my favorite so far of what I've heard tonight. Nice lil guitar riff.

FLOW
Too cool, too way cool,.man it Flows so cool, way west coast jazzy cool, love that rhodes piano patch, tastefully appointed percussion, the song is sparse and broken down in places, pleasant, tripping guitar melodic line. as usual, Bobs Vocals make this for an interesting listen, wait a minute this builds so cool starting at the 2 minute area, unwinds into the bridge and builds ,builds and finds a new way back home to the head, cool guitar shots and piano is rich and just there. This is Bobs best work ever, jazzy R and B he got his place now, man what a cool groovin track bryon t says so,

MUSIC IS TRUTH
This song is an amazing piece of songcrafting, really it is, it is a most tasty morsel among the many songs here, and it stands out more then many tunes here, and not to dismiss the other fine works that appear here at IMP, but it just is killer sweet and has some special magic to it, the reason it is better is due to the masterful production, skillful songwriting and lyrical content. It is a well polished work that sparkles and shines brightly, it is a testament to Bob Elliott's drive and desire to always deliver a song that defines him as a seasoned musician and skillful songcrafter. The musicianship on this song "Owl" is wonderful, each person displays such a high degree of professionalism This is a tightly woven tune with nice placements of smartly developed instrumentation. There has been some good amount of time energy and thoughtfulness building this project and frankly it is one that needs to be out there on the charts in radioland, posted at cdbaby spotify where others can hear the brilliance of Bob Elliott's OWL and this to me is a potential hit song. Truly one of the best songs I have heard in some time, and there are many I am privilege to listen to. We should all aspire to be like Bob and spend the time to develop something memorable. and this song, to me, does that.

The VIBE

Finnegans Wake Book 1 Chapter 1
Hurrah, there is but young gleve for the owl globe wheels in view which is tautaulogically the same thing. Well, Him a being so on the flounder of his bulk like an overgrown babeling, let wee peep, see, at Hom, well, see peegee ought he ought, platterplate. Hum! From Shopalist to Bailywick or from ashtun to baronoath or from Buythebanks to Roundthehead or from the foot of the bill to ireglint's eye he calmly extensolies. And all the way (a horn!) from fiord to fjell his baywinds' oboboes shall wail him rockbound (hoahoahoah!) in swimswamswum and all the livvy- long night, the delldale dalppling night, the night of bluerybells, her flittaflute in tricky trochees (O carina! O carina!) wake him. With her issavan essavans and her patterjackmartins about all them inns and ouses. Tilling a teel of a tum, telling a toll of a tea- ry turty Taubling. Grace before Glutton.
