Written during THE worst break-up of my life with the love of my life. I loved her unconditionally, and was hoping, praying, and pleading she would do the same. But, we are all on our own paths. The proverbial horse to water, but can't make him/her drink. She wasn't there. Still isn't, and may never arrive there. Such is life and our wounded selves. Each of us has to find our own way. So, that's some of what's behind this song.
