A journey through guilt and forgiveness.

Richard Montefiore (Ohio) Songwriting, Vocals, Guitar and synth bass arrangements.
Mike Kardos (Costa Rica), music, Keyboards, Bass Guitar. Geraldo D'Arbilly (Rio) Drums.

A song I (Richard)wrote with Mike Kardos (Gomez)a few years ago. Drums from Geraldo D'Arbilly. Remixed the vocal and added Synth Bass and funk guitar as well as remixing the whole thing. Mike is playing Piano, Bass Guitar and singing low backup on the chorus and also wrote the original Piano Riff.
Well I remember tomorrow like it was yesterday
I'm coming home for good but where am I going to stay?
These streets have changed,
don't owe me a thing
The wolf sleeps in my doorway
I guess we'll do this your way
How was I to know, the names had all been changed
I know this might sound strange,
Things haven’t changed that much;
you see I'm out of touch with all my memories and such.

Well now you know that I left here under a cloud of lies,
You stay away too long the truth gets in your eyes.
These winds of change,
start smelling mighty strange.
I feel just like I’m falling,
you must think me appalling
to leave this all behind,
abandoning the life and people that I’ve cherished
Imagining I’d perished.

On the run from all my dreams,
waiting for a ray of hope,
and maybe just a glimpse of something more.

I’ve never stopped to question anything I’ve done.
I just don’t talk about it
living on the run from all my dreams,
when I’m accosted at the door.
just waiting for that ray of hope,
and maybe just a glimpse of something more.
on the run from all my dreams
just waiting for a ray of hope,
and maybe just a glimpse of something more.

So now I wake up today
and I’m free of the lies and shame.
No longer wrapped up in doubt,
My innocence proclaimed
I still imagine I’d smoke one if I had one.
Despite all of your warnings I hear the voices calling,
And yelling from the doorway
I know that they can’t ignore me.
So glad we did this your way wrapped up in all my dreams
Still searching for that ray of hope, or maybe just a glimpse of something more.
On the run from all my dreams, or maybe just a glimpse of something more.
