And what would you say
If I threw it all away?
Bye Bye

And what would you do?
It’s been pleasant knowing you
Bye Bye

Maybe I should take my time
But by then I could lose my mind

(So, go ahead)
Clip my wings
Shoot me down
I won’t stick around

Go on
Sandbag my balloon
You’ll feel better soon

Go ahead
Tear me down
Smear my name all over town

Just one prick to burst my bubble
You can’t help making trouble for me

It’s an odd affair
When you’re never there
Bye Bye

And misery loves company
But no one’s coming ‘round for tea
Bye Bye

You’re gonna push ‘em all away
‘Cause you’ve nothing good to say

(So, go ahead)
Clip my wings
Shoot me down
I won’t stick around

Go on
Sandbag my balloon
You’ll feel better soon

Go ahead
Tear me down
Smear my name all over town

Just one prick to burst my bubble
You can’t help making trouble for me

There once was an esteemed viscount
Who lived upon a hill
He deemed himself untouchable
Call him what you will

A harbinger of what’s to come
Producer of good taste
’Tis a shame he was such a malicious man
It truly was a ...

Waste of energy
’Cause you can’t discourage me

So, go ahead
Shoot me down
I won’t stick around

Go on
Sandbag my balloon
You’ll feel better soon

Go ahead
Tear me down
Smear my name all over town

Just one prick to burst my bubble
You can’t help making trouble for me
Is that how you show me that you love me?
You can’t help making trouble for me

Bye bye x

Got Music?
Good, controlled rock songs seem to have gone the way of the dodo, so listening to Ms. Peri and Co. here is a refreshing reminder that it can still be done. Great vocal delivery, nice little interlude. The song isn't for everyone, but that's a minority for sure. (thh)
