I lived most half my life from everything I knew
Left to find my sanity maybe make a dream come true
And much to my surprise cuz I never would believe

All these palm trees same weather every day
They say what’s not to like but I just disagree
I guess the sameness of livin here’s the norm
I miss Midwest thunderstorms

Green grassy meadows with a barn and a pond
Sittin on the front porch with friends and play some songs
This is what I’m dreamin of L.A. had my fill
