I was broke. I was stuck, and I needed to get it off my chest. The inner workings of my mind on a bad day.
|
Sittin' here, restless.
Playin' with my necklace,
Waitin' for somthing to happen.
But the time's ticking by, and I don't know why matters.
the sounds of ticking and tocks from all of the clocks I want to shatter.
Well I'd like to drive away to some destination
Live and be fancy free for any duration
But the car's outta gas, and I'm on my ass
Makin an excuse.
And while it's no joke, I'm cold and I'm broke,
I'm a recluse.
*Got too many obligations
Too much responsibility
Too much stress, and not enough rest
And too much anxiety
I lost my smile about a few years back,
That's when my life went off the track,
And if you see my face, you'll see the cracks.
All of the cracks in me.
Well, I think it'd fun, I think it'd be grand
If everyone had just a little bit of land,
You could build you could grow, you could reap you could sow
all of your grains.
Just a handful of land, some lumber, some sand
To maintain.
Well I got a good job, and I got a good man.
Sometimes things don't go as we planned,
We struggle, we fight, to make it alright
all of the time.
We work hard, we play, at the end of the day
We're just fine.
