I spend a lot of time just hangin' and talkin' to her
open my window, she flies in like a bird
She never listens when I tell her the crux of things
but I believe that she absorbs every word
I think she's here to stay
I'm thankful for today
Nobody knows about the world that we have between us
Seems to be happening outside time and space
Sometimes I notice a black hole in the crux of things
but when I start to move it all falls in place
I guess that we're okay
The darkness goes away
I try not to count on people, they often let you down
but at the worst of moments, that's when she shines
Don't spend much energy deciding the crux of things
and when the morning comes I'll open the blinds
and she'll come out to play
That's what we are per se
