Love the ones that need you and try to be kind

Are you from a place called far away?
Livin’ in a time you can’t stay
Maybe visit sometime in your mind when you’re not fine
You see glimpses in the past
You pass the half point – nothin’ lasts
And you wonder what might have been
In the end
Lost in daydreams they float by
Under a tree and a summer sky
And you reach for the by and by
And try to be kind
Kinder to yourself and the ones you love
Even when the past has hurt you some
Though you feel a certain discontent
You try to be kind
Are you from a place called far away?
Livin’ in a time you can’t stay
Maybe visit sometime in your mind when you’re not fine
Simple things in life will have to do
You don’t need much to make it through
Love the ones that need you and try to be kind
Are you from a place called far away?

Lost in daydreams they float by

You try to be kind
Simple things in life will have to do

Livin’ in a time you can’t say
