I wrote this song for my son. His mother and I had broken up and she had moved back to Kirkland Lake. In her anger she had heavily restricted my access and it was killing me inside. This song is me looking forward, with hope, that this situation would end. Eventually, it did end and our differences were put aside for the benefit of our child. My son now lives with me in a split custody situation and we began to co-parent. This is a song for anyone who has had to suffer the pain of having their child withheld from them. It know it doesn’t always, but it can get better. Don’t lose hope.
