A week ago, I asked a Fellow Musician Friend if he'd be interested in collaborating together on a song. I've never asked anyone about a collaboration before, at least not using the internet. But he said yes. So Here it is. He starts playing about a minute, 29 seconds into it. I'm playing Rhythm and melody on the Acoustic and The Electric. He's playing the Guitar and Dobro, and Fiddle and Mandolin. Yes he plays a lot of different instruments and all of them really well. But I had a good time working on this, and we both hope you enjoy. His name is Frans Beelaard. His Soundcloud page is at https://soundcloud.com/user-936947521 and mine is at https://soundcloud.com/user-138566366 . Thanks for listening.

Red Dirt Road
Words by Alan Ballard
Music by Frans Beelaard
and Alan Ballard
2019
1.
I took a walk down
The Road Less Traveled
A little walk to Refresh my Soul
The Road was not Paved
There Was no Gravel
Only the cool Red Clay, Between my Toes
There’s a Slow Moving River to my left
And Flower’s in Bloom on my right
Song Birds singing a song I’ll never Forget
As I Breathe in this Countryside
Song Birds singing a song, I’ll never Forget
Breathing in this Countryside
2.
Just a Small Journey, a little Getaway
Unplugging from the Pressures that Life sometimes throws our Way
There’s a Spot on this Old Dirt Road, about a mile away
A small little Mountain Hike, with Dividends that really Pay
With Peace of Mind
And New Clarity
And Views That’s Out of this World
That helps set my Mind at Ease
With Views Out of this World
Chorus…
I’m On this Red Dirt Road
Just want everyone to know
I’m here to Have a Good Time
I’m here to Have a Good Time
On the Red Dirt Road
Leave all your Worries and Troubles behind
Before you Start to Hike
On the Red Dirt Road
Uh Oh On The Red Dirt Road
Oooh The Red Dirt Road
On the Red Dirt Road
Wo , On the Red Dirt Road
I’m here to have a Good Time
I’m here to have a Good Time
Leave All your Worries and Troubles behind
Before. You start to hike
On the Red Dirt Road
…Repeat Verse 1…
