I was stuck on this song for months. But my guitar slapped my face and straightened everything out. (Reached #1 on the All Genre chart May 10, 2021; Hit #1 for a second time on 1/1/2022.)

Something happened yesterday that reminds me of tomorrow
All the joy from days gone by that turned into some sorrow
I sprung a leak inside my mind and all the thoughts poured out
The only thought that I have left is the one that can't get out

Do seasons start with Winter or is January last?
Am I on course for the future or speeding towards the past?
The rain that follows clouds around shares the sky with all that blue
One love dies yet leaves the seeds that grow something that's new

My life has been the tires that tried to grip a rocky road
My back has been the truck that tried to haul the heavy load
My hands have grasped this piece of wood adorned with copper strings
My life comes through to speak to you as Mercy spreads her wings

Each brick that paved my way was made from dust that mixed with tears
Faith has held the hand of doubt while walking through my fears
Success was like a woman I romanced inside my mind
I lived with eyes wide open yet I stumbled like the blind

Do seasons start with Winter or is January last?
Am I on course for the future or speeding towards the past?
The rain that follows clouds around shares the sky with all that blue
One love dies yet leaves the seeds that grow something that's new

My life has been the tires that tried to grip a rocky road
My back has been the truck that tried to haul the heavy load
My hands have grasped this piece of wood adorned with copper strings
My life comes through to speak to you as Mercy spreads her wings

Something happened yesterday that reminds me of tomorrow
All the joy from days gone by that turned into some sorrow

Back to the Shack
Larree lays down some fantastic wonderful lyrical genius here, very early Bob Dylan lyrical style writing here. Solidly crafted song with compelling lyrics and terrific musicality and that guitar work is so very fine, great picking and tastefully presented, did love that extended part with that magically guitar that was happening for 30-40 seconds, early byrd's guitar chiming out there, sweetness, loved that break there, lovely textures. well done yo This makes ya have to press play more then one time. Worthy of Featured Song charting
