A heavy and dark story about emotional attachment that went a little too far.

It's a miracle I recorded that song. Due to pandemic and all other circumstances, I found myself unable to record anything. But one day I realized I was about to be alone at home for half of the day. I decided to put it to good use. Initially I began recording something completely different, but I didn't really it. Then this song popped into my my mind. I recorded it in an hour. I'm so proud of that song. I wrote the lyrics about a decade ago and I never thought they'd get their own melody. I wrote the song in March last year but I assumed I would never record it. But here it is. And I love it.

I woke up as someone else
In someone else's dream
I don't know how I got here
but I refuse to leave
But where would I go if the pain
keeps me safe here
[Chorus]
If you hear me, calling your name
Come find me
and save me from my obsession
(obsession, obsession)
My obsession
(obsession, obsession)
How come the shame and loneliness
brings me such relief
Your blood's still boiling in my veins
Through you I live
but are you worth living for?
[Chorus]
I'm taken over by the ghosts
of fears I've never faced
You're all I know but nothing I have
this love's making me sick
[Chorus 2x]
