Paying homage to Henry Purcell's popular Aria “Dido’s Lament” from the Baroque opera “Dido and Aeneas”, Yona puts a modern spin on the deeply distressing tale of Dido’s ultimate undoing. The Carthage queen was abandoned by her lover, Trojan hero Aeneas, and suffered intense emotional turmoil that leads her to the act of committing suicide on a pyre built to burn her faithless lover's possessions. wow, I find this engagin' sonic tapestry, a strange mixture of rap, and operatic, w a fantastic soprano, accompanied by hand claps, cello, strings, and/or finger-snaps (that works in west side story lol), very creative song, lovely vocal and catchy chorus 'will you remember', also props for bringing greek myth into the conversation, welcome to iac/imp, kudos...

Rich Vocals, very gifted lady tripping transition from classical operatic combo from a laid back smooth sweet groove to a big soundscape that has some edgy aspects and elements, then a haunting operatic voice sweeps , dig that harpsichord effect.

such a creative song, a lovely vocal, the soprano around 1:45 comes out of nowhere, like a Sybil, a Delphic oracle, the tympani drum's great, and the harpsichord and strings, "will you remember" is a great refrain, the source is a greek myth, w breadth and scope, kudos...
