Rock Star is about how the record labels deal with Rock musicians & what they really feel about them. Somewhat humorous! Wrote & recorded the song back in 2000. Now don't any of you Rock Stars get offended by it,,, Hear!

Wrote a very touching letter, to a major record label
They said son, we're looking for the unique sound
are you ready, willin & able.
2. Now that got me thinkin man, just what could that sound be
Maybe a sound like Nervana, Sound Garden or AC/DC
well they said it's got to have great lyrics, it's got to have a good hook, you see,
It's got to fit into that certin niche man, it's got to be great musically
Break; So you wanna be a Rock Star ha ha, well I'm sure you'll go far
3. Now you may all be wonderin, just what the hell does this all mean
if you ain't got that unique sound man, you're ruined musically
they say, son, things are different now, it ain't like it use to be
you got to pump out them gold platinum records man,
so we can live the life of ease
Break: So you wanna be a Rock Star ha, well I'm sure you'll go far
Yeah right!
Break: hey all right, I just got my Rock Star manual, lets see what it say's
rule number one, in order to be a Rock Star,, you must be able to play your guitar well,
Hey, that ain't no problem man, rule number 2, in order to be a Rock Star, you must have balls, hey that ain't no problem, I got 2 of them
rule number 3, In order to be a Rock Star, you must smoke, drink, take drugs & have illicit sex, Hmmm, also, you must be able to solve Einstines theory of relativity, relativity? Oh yeah man, I got plenty of them, Laughs, looks like I'm gonna be a Rock Star, All right.
Guitar break:
So no one has the answer, that defines that unique sound, just keep writing from your heart man & your music will be profound, Don't let them dictate or dominate,
what you should listen to, just let your ear be the judge man, unto your own self be true.
