'Gods' is a song of extremes; half industrial metal, half melodic acoustic. Randall originally conceived 'Gods' in 1999 for the short-lived band 'Spanking Kate'. From the crude one mic demo, Eric finished fleshing out the song and Brian added the finishing touches.
Dwell would like to personally thank Aleister Crowley for dropping by and lending his voice to our diety inspired ditty.

fiogf49gjkf0d They even had the nerve to say
that they were better than me,
better than you, better than us.
They even had the guts to think
that they were Gods, and Gods
are grand unlike the rest of us.
They even had the bones to play
around with the strings and
make us what they wanted of us.
They even had the brains to believe
we'd never make it on our own
unlike the best of them.
We whiled away hours
pulling on loose threads
like some kind of Gods.
