My guitarist Simon, wrote a great guitar piece on his twelve string and I took it with me to Long Island on a long weekend. I listened to the piece maybe a hundred times and thought, "what am I going to do with this.." At the time I was working security at night, and all alone one morning at 5:19, I wrote this song... Its about growing up and realizing you can't go back, you can't go back to high school. That weekend I had gone home and all my friends were like me. We were all living across America, graduated from college, with new lives and a distance that wasn't always just calculated in miles, but in mentality. I wrote this song for my best friend, who had an old skyhawk. I think people can relate to this song, and I wrote it as a question, because as we get older thats what we do. When we stop questioning thats when its over.
