This is like a follow up to a song I wrote a year earlier "Living on the borderline". I feel God raised me above all the strain I was feeling at the time.

Big Credits to Craig Zurba who Produced, Arranged, Engineered the song. Pure genius and talent. Thanks Craig!

I wrote this at my kitchen table after breakfast, it was a chilly spring morning and I was still hungry. It was at a time when I was busking in the skytrain station and was thinking of all the people that walked by and how could I get their attention. "Can someone listen to me..." came to mind and the story evolved from those thoughts.

Raise Me Above – (c) 2007
It’s cold outside and I don’t have enough to eat
There’s a rainbow in heaven somewhere
with a pot of gold waiting for me
I reach out for an answer
And I reach up high
I reach out to anyone just passing by
Can someone listen to me?
Does anyone understand these needs?
Catch me Lord before I fall
Raise me above it all
We all need somethin’, but we don’t always say what we need
And We drive ourselves crazy just trying to make ends meet
I know I’m not the only one
Whose feeling the strain
I’m just ashamed sometimes to share my pain
Can someone listen to me?
Does anyone understand these needs?
Catch me Lord before I fall
Raise me above it all. I need you!
Raise me above it all.
When things finally turn around
And I bow down humbly
I can thank the good Lord who’s been so good to me.
‘Cause someone listened to me
Someone understands these needs
Thank you Lord, You heard my call
You raised me above it all and I thank You,
Raised me above it all
Someone listened to me
Someone understands these needs
I Thank you Lord, You heard my call
You raised me above it all and I thank You,
You raised me above it all
raised me above it all and I thank You
You raised me above it all
