Well, it’s back to school
And that ain’t so cool
Had a great summer, bumming in the sun
Taking it easy, having fun, fun, fun!
No more sleepin’ till noon, no, no
No more staying up for the late, late show.
Gotta be up with the rising sun
Can’t stop yawnin’, where’s the fun, fun, fun?
Well, it’s back to school
And that ain’t to cool!
Whoever invented this instituion
Created a problem, not a slution.
To be stuck in one place - Six hours a day
Countin’ all the minutes as they’re tickin’ away.
Home work assignment, and what is this?
Every morning there’ll be a little quiz!
Reading all those books, getting ready for a test –
Gimme a break man – I need a rest!
My mom is feelin’ lonely and blue
‘Cause without me she’s got nothin’ to do.
I just know she’s gonna cry and cry and say:
Give me back my kid, I’m having a boring day!
My teacher wants to know about me
It just hasn’t been the same without me
Trying to convince me that this place is fun
When all I wanna do is run, run, run!
Well, it’s back to school
And that ain’t to cool!
