I was feeling like an outcast after being eliminated / cast out, the third round of the KIAC 2009 song competition, so I composed this.
I replaced the lyrics with instrumentals trying to build a short story. If you have ever heard me sing you would understand why I replaced my lyrics. The rhythm and the base line represent the heartbeat and the excitement of starting the project. The flute, represent the development of the idea, the violins, represent the march forward. The first guitar represents collaboration, the saxophone, representing the presentation and second guitar, acceptance of the final decision, the electric piano, represents the blues and the violins at the end, represents starting over, and looking forward to the next opportunity/project.
If you listen to the music closely, you can hear the interpretation of the story unfolding with each instrument.
Ok. That's just a shameless attempt to get you to listen to my music more than once. I'm so ashamed, but I hope it works.
Good luck to all the contest finalist, and congratulations to all the winners.
