This is a little country and a little pop song about first time intimacy taking place on the San Francisco Bay

Stoneman wrote, produced and performed everything on this recording

I started picking a sort of country western vibe and before I knew it this song was born.

We lost our innocence on the San Francisco Bay
We lost our innocence on the San Francisco Bay

We were young and inexperienced, as we sailed out on the Bay
Love and passion swelled in every kiss, as we passed under the Golden gate
Though we had never gone that far, we were so ready to explore
All the exciting places love was leading to
Under the Sun and soon the stars we could not wait reach the shore
Nature was showing us exactly what to do

We lost our innocence on the San Francisco Bay
We lost our innocence on the San Francisco Bay

Love was rising through the salty mist, the oceans motion underneath
clinging tightly as we deeply kissed, doing what came naturally
We forgot all about the time under the moon our passion climbed
to a crescendo loud and crashing like the waves
We did not plan to go that far, but our hearts could not wait no more
So we surrendered to the heat and fanned the flames

We lost our innocence on the San Francisco Bay
We lost our innocence on the San Francisco Bay

We were sailing into ecstasy and loves journey had begun
We had never felt so wild and free as we started making love

We lost our innocence on the San Francisco Bay
We lost our innocence on the San Francisco Bay

Smile About It
a sonic tapestry, so many happenin' elements, sparklin' guitar, moving strings, percussion, strong vocal, good storytellin'...

the turntable
folk rock in the vain of crosby stills and nash. 70s all over

There's Gold In Them Thar Hills
I'm grateful to stoneman for reminding me of my historical songs (on a thread "great source of historical facts_), and always liked this wonderful ditty, wide-rangin' vocal and neat strings, innocence/experience, with the trippy, moving groove, and summons up the Bay Area, where I live, love this song, cheers man...

The Explorers
explorin' new territory...

SPARKLERS
excellent all around, grand performance, lovely metaphor for innocence/experience, kudos...( smokey Robinson smiles...
