Vincenzo Ardilio
Confirm My Suspicions
The original mix was the first song that I added to my first station here at IAC. Now that Vincenzo remixed this thing, I had to bring this bad boy into my newest station. It's not as hardcore beat-heavy as the first version is, I don't think. But it still makes me wanna shake my ass! Happy New Year, all!!!

Went to listen because I have a family member whose name is Julie, and who has a son named Ocean. Too weird.
But then I checked out the tune and LOVED it. True blue power pop. Classic and marvelous.

A very cool psych-pop song that not only hits you with some odd touches to the arrangement, but also the basic structure and chord changes hit you just off-center. In the best possible way.

So yeah, Bob Elliott comes back with another winner. A bit of a Bill Withers meets Curtis Mayfield vibe on this one. And, that VOICE. It seems to make everything he does sound like it was touched by a bit of magic.

Interesting rhythmical flourishes and chord changes, combined with the wonderfully left-of-center female vocals bring to mind the outstanding German art rock band Slapp Happy.
Probably my favorite thing that I've heard from Scott or Jillian.

New tunes from a great supporter of band on IAC. And, thank God, they're GOOD! I didn't want to have to lie. This one reminds me a little bit of Stereolab, if only for the French vocals. But there is a certain seductive air to the song, much like its namesake city. Beautiful and atmospheric.

Bob. New tune. His voice is magic and his playing is beautiful. There is pretty much nothing that he has done that has not been great. This sounds like a little bit of a departure for him, instrumentally. There are sounds here that are a bit new to the B.E. repertoire, and yet it's unmistakably Bob.
