Camilla Cristofoletti, born in 1996, is a young indie/folk/pop singer-songwriter known as “Waira”.
“Waira” refers to the spirit of the wind, she was named so by a man of an Inka-tribe she met in july 2015. Her audience really appreciates her unique voice which has similarities with Fiona Apple and Norah Jones.
Camilla has always been around music and since starting songwriting in 2014 she has always been encouraged by the public and people she has worked with. Her music reflects her soul and inner self and very often the lyrics come before the music and convey strong emotions and feelings which can be felt when listening to her music.
In 2015 she was chosen to perform as part of the “Music Live Week” in Sestriere (Turin) where she was greatly encouraged by important people in the Italian music industry such as Antonio Vandoni (Artistic director Radio Italia), Mario Riso (founder of the band Rezophonic), Giuseppe Fiori (musician and record producer ) , to become a recording artist.
The song "Don't cry" was written around november 2015 and recorded in january together with Marco Facchin (musician, composer, arranger and winner of 4 gold records in Germany) and Mattia Mariotti (guitarist, composer and arranger who as collaborated with many musicians in Europe and worldwide )
On february 23 2016 Waira was invited on radio show directed by Giuseppe Fiori at Radio Ramingo(Milano). Her song “Don’t cry” (and a short interview) was also transmitted on Sudtirol 1 Radio during a few days. In the following months she got the chance to play in many occasions in South Tyrol, Trentino and Austria.

In October 2016 she was invited to play on the worldwide format “Balcony Tv”, where she has the opportunity to play her second single “Nothing to lose”

In 2016 a british promoter heard her at the Upload Sounds finals and invited her to open Jay Brannan's show in London at the O2 Academy Islington. This London experience is the first big step for the artist and the following month she presented her first EP.

The “Under A Black Hat”-EP was released november 15th, the day of her 20th birthday.
The Ep was produced in collaboration with the independent label Vivarecords, arranged by Mattia Mariotti and Marco Facchin.

Waira is already working on her second EP and on her first videoclip
