SIRSY (pronounced ""sir-see"", rhymes with ""mercy""):
female-fronted, sultry, soulful, pop that rocks with a hook-laden punch. ""While their music is radio friendly, and their looks are eye-friendly, the material is actually REALLY good. Like pop songs used to be before MTV"".
""Melanie Krahmer can sing, scream, blow flute, and tease, and she does all four really well. If you like rock and live bands, go see sirsy - they are usually playing somewhere every night and they won't let you down.""
— The Village Voice / New York, NY (2005)
Since SIRSY's incarnation in the spring of 2000, they have accrued an enormous list of accomplishments that would seem impossible for an unsigned band. This band consistently rises above and pushes on...
Playing over 250 shows per year, SIRSY is said to sound ""even better live than on their critically acclaimed recordings"". Whether electric or acoustic, ""sirsy's live show is always brimming with enough energy and raw passion to stir the soul"". Perhaps this explains their large and devoted cult following...
This IS their day job. Yes, the members of sirsy play their music for their living. Yes, that means they're broke, but it also means they're hungry and passionate and ALWAYS working at their craft. You won't find a more devoted band...
Sirsy's sound is ""accessible and catchy but never derivitave or hackneyed""... and they're fronted by a vocalist who is said to have ""the lungs of a teenage athlete and the growl of a sixty-something blues singer... capable of a floaty whisper and a lion's roar...""
Vocalist and flutist Melanie Krahmer (who also plays a stand up drum kit at acoustic shows) co-writes the songs with bassist Rich Libutti (who doubles on guitar at sirsy's acoustic shows).
SIRSY (FULL BAND):
Melanie Krahmer-vocals, flute
Rich Libutti - bass
Greg Nash- drums
Andres Jatombliansky -guitar
SIRSY (ACOUSTIC DUO):
Melanie Krahmer- vocals, flute, stand-up drum kit
Rich Libutti - acoustic guitar, bass
"Fine"... hmmm.... Beatlesesque choruses... trampy, campy, cabaret verses... and a bridge that gets right in your face and, well... scares the faint of heart... listen for yourself!
"Pet"... a raucous, spirited, little number about fighting back... with a pretty cool flute solo (yes, flute).
reached Top 5 on KIAC Big 50
"By July" is the first track from sirsy's 2004 Release, "Ruby" (their 3rd studio album). It'll make you tap your toes and sing along... the hook is so damned catchy you can't help it... and you can ignore the depth of the lyrics if you want to but we wouldn't recommend it.

I recently found out about the TeqAtlas website, and how it has so much research available. There's research on blockchain adoption available about this website, and that's what I wanted. It will help me out with my business, for sure.

SIRSY is a great group, and they're doing an amazing job right now. Their latest album got good essay writing reviews, and that's how I got to know about them. I will recommend my mates to listen to their music now.
