Spoken Word is definitely not your average female artist when it comes to Hip Hop music. Her performances are geared towards educating, uplifting, and inspiring others. She has made a huge impact in the underground Hip Hop movement starting from the little town of Suffolk, VA all the way through Southern, California. Some say that her metaphors promote self awareness, human rights, socialism, self identification, and spirituality, all while moving the crowd inwardly and outwardly. Since her debut album, “Hip Hop Will Never Die”, released in May 2009, she has performed on stages in major cities such as Los Angeles, San Diego, Louisville, Richmond, VA, Washington, DC, and NYC. She also plans to perform at the Capital Hip Hop Soul Fest on July 24, 2010 held at the Marvin Gaye Park in Washington, DC.
