Scott Joseph Phares was born on June 12th, 1987 in Litchfield, IL. He gained a strong interest in music when his grandmother introduced him to Elvis Presley, His father was a drummer in many local bands when he was a child which furthered his interest in music. After getting his first guitar and beginning piano lessons, Scott then turned to taking guitar lessons, after 6 months of lesson he quit, and began learning on his own and writing songs. In 2002 Scott started a band called Midwest Avenue with his cousin, uncle, and father. Following that in 2005 with some friends from High School, Scott and 3 of his friends started a band together, which lead to other bands and projects. After time and wanting to tour and get out there and see the world, Scott decided to pursue a solo career and step into the industry in September of 2006. Shortly after beginning his solo career he was on tour with This Providence (Fueled By Raymen) in February of 2007. He went on to record a independent album and played the Cornerstone Music Festival in June 2007 alongside bands like Switchfoot, Anberlin, Copeland, MeWithoutYou, Sherwood, Underoath, Corey Crowder, Sullivan, Toby Mac, and many others. Then in August and December 2007 Scott Joseph Phares embarked on his own headlining tours in Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Missouri, Texas, and Georgia.
