Congrats on all your wonderful achievements. From one NYC songwriter to another, I'm so proud of your iconic status within the music industry and now on Broadway as well with "Kinky Boots". (...saw it twice and loved it!!)
I love all your work but "Time After Time" moves me to tears every time I hear it. "True Colors" is equally truthful and evocative. Along with "Girls Just Wanna Have Fun", you have won the trifecta of music with three of the best songs of all time. Your smokey, rich voice only gets better and more unique with age. Your life and how you overcame adversity has been a true inspiration for me. Thank you for keepin' it real.
