A twist on Tori Amos and a female fronted version of The Cure! Singer songwriter Versailles has made waves in the last few years. One of the most unique artists in history, Versailles has a amazing and untouchable sound. Emotionally intense she shows her exquisite talent at mastering the piano, not to mention the guitar. With a new EP Believe just released in 2005, planning a tour this year and much more! . Versailles was also just placed on a Cleopatra Records release for a cover of NIN ""Something I Can Never Have"". Versailles runs a new club in Los Angeles called INFINITE SADNESS located at Mr T's Bowl the 2nd Monday of every month. So come down one night when you can.
Versailles started out as a solo artist in Albuquerque, NM about 5 years ago. Starting in a friends basement she came out with a four song E.P. called Fallen Angel(2002). That same year Versailles song Little Dead Kitten was placed on a compilation CD called Burque Love 4. Versailles moved to Los Angeles in 2002 to continue her career as a musician. She came out with a CD called Live Your Life and a single Kiss, in 2003 both currently available on her website.
She has had many local reviews in Rock City News and the Music Connection. In 2003 Versailles played two shows for the LA Music Awards and was also on KCLA the Dirty Dave Morning Show. In 2004 Versailles put together a back up band with drummer Rod Arias and guitar player Andy Bettis. They were on the Scary Perry Show a talk show starring Perry Caravello from the movie Windy City Heat. Versailles was a nominee for solo artist of the year for last years Rock City Music Awards.
