This is a folk acoustic ballad I wrote a couple years back that I have finally recorded. It's comprised mostly of acoustic guitar with some extra bells and whistles thrown in for good measure. It's a simple love song written in an effort to make a catchy Pop tune.

Mastered and Bounced to tape by Nathan at Matrix Audio

Personnel:
Marc Maynon - Vocals, Acoustic Guitar, Bass, Volca, Moog, Kick Drum and Wood Block

When I first wrote this song I thought it was too simple and shallow, but I found it was really easy to play at the farmers' markets I was frequenting. I came to realize it is an excellently crafted little Pop tune that sort of fell into my lap. I wrote it on a whim and it demanded to be heard.

On a forest path,
Not too far from town,
I walk with you lady
And you're beautiful
Can I sing you a song?
I'm sorry did that sound wrong?
What I meant is you're beautiful.
Won't you stay with me?

And I've got nowhere to be
That's uncommon for me
And it's fun. I'll make it fun.
And I've been dreaming of you
And all we will do in the sun,
Yes the sun.

Won't you take my hand?
Listen to my voice.
Perhaps you'll understand
That we could be beautiful.
But I can listen too.
That's what lovers do.
If you want I will listen the whole day through.

And I've got nowhere to be
That's uncommon for me
And it's fun. I'll make it fun.
And I've been dreaming of you
And all we will do in the sun
Yes the sun.
