A ballad about people not listening...not communicating

D Marth & G Rice

Written long ago for a long lost love....
As true today as then....

Lyrics provided in answer to a request....

Listen....
Listen to the falling sounds,
Waken to the life around you.
You have all you need,
To live the life you lead....listen.

How much should I give you,
How far must I make you see.
All the things that perish,
Mean so much to me...

Listen as the fire burns,
Somewhere while the world is turning,
Dreams have come to live,
In fools who never give,
Listen...

Bokum Twilight
After you've listened to this a few times, play it a few more times and just Listen to the strings... very pretty cello line complimented with chorused strings.

KURT KURTLEY's KORNER OF THE WORLD
Listen...to the falling sounds. Waken...to the life around you

Thank You
Kurt's use of strings is positively masterful. Listen to "Listen" twice; once for the song and a second time for the cello.

Wow Kurt, from the first few arpegiated notes of those descending, either chorused six string notes? or what I believe, is a twelve string is it? I clicked on the add plus sign and from there the chasing perpetually falling cello riffs just gripped my soul brother and i was spellbound by the time your beautiful and I might add profoundly simple yet potent lyrics lead me to a empassioned "listen" to what really is an interesting climb in the scale vocally, i didn't expect the half step ascend and it was a pleasant surprise to be taken to something other than typical. I really love this song, masterfully produced, mixed and delivered with such genuine passion for your subject. . . . . respect!!!!!

The Gift
Communication is such a difficult thing sometimes... tying to grasp the meaning in another's words, spoken or otherwise... and being able to understand what they want you to know. We often times speak and feel as tho we must be talking in a foreign language that is only understood by us... and on the other side of that, hearing a foreign language we do not understand... and it can be such a frustrating thing. I think when communication is an issue, we have to try to find within ourselves peace... with that, which we do not understand. This is a lovely song Kurt that expresses this difficulty well.

Psyche Folk
