Before I met up with Priest in Battery Park I had planned to tell him how much I used to bump Heavy Mental when i was a kid and how I thought it was an understated classic. Then I thought to myself that I didn't want to sound like a fan, you know he these NY rapper dudes can get when you appear vulnerable. But by the time I boarded the Staten Island Ferry with Priest I realized immediately what a cool and open guy he was. On the way over we talked about Football, his work with the Wu over the years and had a good laugh after I told him how the Mohawks in Oka block a highway once in a while to get there concerns heard. He thought that was pretty amazing.

Once we took a few pictures and stopped talking just to kind of enjoy the view of the Statue of Liberty I trealized how truly amazing this was. Riding the ferry over to Shaolin, the same ferry Rza and Gza used to freestyle on before the Wu was ever conceived, to record a track for my album with a man who I've known versus of his off by heart since I was fifteen. All that kept ringing in my head was...
"I judge wisely, as if nothing ever surprised me, lounging between two pillars of ivory..."
