THE BLACK SHEEP -for a Black Sheep
LEGENDARY MUSIC I wasn't particularly looking for an instrumental tune tonight. In fact I'm not quite sure what I was looking for or expecting to find, but that's just what makes the "find" that much more special. First though, I'd like to apologize to those who have left me Shouts over the summer. I've been sidelined from IAC with family and friends and a few concerts that I've performed at up here lately in good old On-tar-i-ari-ari-o ... that's just a little ditty from our province's musical contribution to the 1967 World's Fair in Montreal. Hey, a little geo-musical history is always good isn't it?? Anyway, while I've been slowly working my way down the "Shout" list here at L. M., I've had some anxious moments thinking that Steve and some others might be wondering if I've gone AWOL, or perhaps worse!! No fear, everything is just a matter of time. Well, I went through all the other songs on Steve's page before I came back up to the top and thought, you know what cowboy, why don't you just give a listen to Steve's instrumental piece. It was like striking a musical gold mine!! The bizarre static and scratchy intro was just what roped me in, and from there, well, I was tripping all over my cowboy boots doing the light fantastic from beginning to end on this merry-go-round and round, happy-go-lucky, whistling, forget all your troubles, bubbly, bouncy, sunshine-filled wonderful little prize of a melody. Folks you can have more fun listening to "Pastures Of Plenty" here than watching a barn full of Billy goats on the loose. Well done Steve - no change that: EXCEPTIONALLY well done Steve. Great arrangement, great instrumentation, short and oh so very, very sweet ... and a melody that sounds just like the circus coming into town ... it will make you feel twenty years younger - well it did me ... lol. It might even add years to your life ... and therein folks, lies the beauty of the fountain of music. You bet yer boots I love it!!! It's a pleasure to bring you back here again Steve.
A Time Before Language Walk in the Pastures of Plenty with Steve April as he wonderfully reminds us to Joy de Vire. Uplifting, bright, for the love of music listen!
EVERGREEN upbeat little instrumental, w seas-sounds intro, and ambience/abundance in the instrumentation...thanks mark, for a varied studio w hundreds of shakers, tambourines, and stuff lying' around, the good earth...
