A tale of doppleganger brothers

Partially inspired by the film Dead Ringer (Crononberg) it is done in an open tuning and has middle eastern feel
We once had the same dreams
Mirrored symbols, stories, scenes
We woke up cradled in each other’s arms
Hungry beasts inside the fence
Morning sun rose in the west
Behind curtains we lay sweating in the dark

There’s a dream I had when we were both running in circles
And I pushed you down I broke your legs knocked you unconscious
I was first to wake I turned to you and you weren’t breathing
I fled in the storm and from the window heard you screaming

“Brother, brother, brother
Brother when are you coming back, or do I have to hunt you down?”
I cried “wagon, wagon, wagon,
Wagon take me through the city gates, just as fast as you can”
