For the superhero in all of us...(well, at least in me...I don't know about you!)
Jimi Powers channels Brian May on lead electric guitar, Jeff Leece on plump bass, Phil Janzen plays his ass off on drums, Mindy Nilson making me swoon on backing vocals, and me on lead and backing vocals, acoustic and electric guitars, piano, keyboards, and de rest - and of course, the incomparably awesome Mike Bolenbach engineering the super angst. This song came from my wondering about my next door neighbors and went off from there...because, if I think I'm some kind of superhero (which of course, I do - just ask my wife) who do they think they might be? Batman? The Green Hornet? Catwoman? Maybe we all think we're superheroes at heart, out to save the world from Brainiac or Lex Luthor - but the ones who say it out loud get thrown into a rubber room. Well, bring on the padded cell, Ma!
