Jimi Hendrix's Ghost singing out like Bird Parker
Does anybody know if it's getting lighter or darker?

Matt Perez on drums, Tom O'Brien and Sean Hathorn on back up vocals

copyright 1/09 Elliott

When Louis Armstrong Speaks

America listens when Louis Armstrong Speaks
Seven thousand letters before the general can sleep
Four score and twenty
Burning through our money
Abraham Lincoln moving through the streets

Jimi Hendrix’s ghost singing out like Bird Parker
Does anybody know if it’s getting lighter or darker?
Shooting in the war, Man, I couldn’t do that anymore
But recruiting other souls, somehow that’s even harder

Can you hear it?
Can you feel it?
Oh, he's singing there
singing just for you

America listens when Louis Armstrong speaks
I been up and down the malls here in and out of seven weeks
Iron in my backbone
But I need it in my soul
‘cause if Billy keeps singing I’m gonna break down and lose control

Can you hear it?
Can you feel it?
Oh, she's singing there
She's singing just for you

They're singing just for you

La Familia
Yeah, this is a favorite for sure! Dang it Bob, this is a mighty fine crafted song and performance.

Lonesome Wolf Radio
Bob shouts out one soulful howl here in "When Louis Armstrong Speaks" ... hoooowwwl yeah ! ... absolutely wonderful ...

OatP and Friends and REVIEWS!!
The song opens with a nice, yet brief, intro allowing the guitar to establish the rhythm while the harmonica cements some melodic motifs for the rest of the song to play with. They do a great job of creating the right atmosphere for the vocals to dominate the song, which is important because the lyrics are perhaps the song's strongest aspect. The song is sung with genuine emotion, sometimes getting a little louder than would perhaps be expected, but in this song it succeeds in drawing attention to certain words and phrases, both when they grow louder and when then quiet down. Most importantly though, this flows. It succeeds in sounding like it came straight from the soul, not exceedingly difficult in it's technique or structure because it doesn't need to be, this song is truly what music should be about, genuine expression. Listen multiple times to digest the lyrics and appreciate the little details thrown in here and there (often some bluesy sounding guitar or slight melodic changes that really add color to the overall project.)

Road Movie..
So many ghosts and spectres in this very lovely soulful slice of poetic gospel folk Americana..Fab vocal, organic production..Really sweet n evocative..

Spring Is Springin'
louis armstrong, jimi hendrix, charlie parker, a slightly surreal tribute to america's innovative, if impoverished musicians, who pay for their gift with their lives,'a vale of soulmaking', and the third rock from the sun, it's true...
