This song is about somehow overcoming your fear and just going for it!

Lyrics, composition, guitar Chandra Moon
Production Richard Bloom

I wrote this song as a result of getting stage fright and being terrified of performing my own songs in public - I'm over it now more or less but still get a bit nervous live!
I feel the fear, I’m terrified
Can hardly turn the page
My heart stands still, it’s petrified
Can’t walk out on the stage
I wanna jump onto a moving train
Turn the handle walk through the door
Dance naked in the pouring rain
Do something never done before

Break this endless loop
Break this endless loop
Break this endless loop

I’ve been let down, I’m all alone
No-one understands
I sit all day by the telephone
Staring at my own hands
Every minute feels like an hour
Every hour feels like a day
All the good things have turned sour
I want to throw it all away

Break this endless loop
Break this endless loop
Break this endless loop

The world’s at war and full of hate
No-one knows right from wrong
It looks as though it’s way too late
The trouble’s gone on too long
I believe that I can’t change a thing
If I’m feeling disempowered
I know I need to grow new wings
To rise from my darkest hour

Take a leap of faith
Through the fiery hoop
Take a leap of faith
Through the fiery hoop

I feel the fear, I’m terrified
Can hardly turn the page
My heart stands still, it’s petrified
Can’t walk out on the stage
I believe that I can’t change a thing
If I’m feeling disempowered
I know I need to grow new wings
To rise from my darkest hour

Take a leap of faith
Through the fiery hoop
Take a leap of faith
Through the fiery hoop

In the Artists Own Words
I wrote this song about the terror of going on stage to sing a song in public for the first time and developed the theme. I didn't write my first song till I was 50 years old and it was very daunting as everyone else in the songwriting group I was in was very young . They were all so encouraging though and despite my awful first efforts I persevered and eventually recorded a whole album and am now on a second one! I still get stage fright but not to the extent of before but I do enjoy recording and writing the best. Like the song says though, we need to take a "leap of faith through the fiery hoop" and live up to our potential to do things and live the dream and then anything's possible.

Over The Moon Two
A song about facing the fear of performing in public - or any other deep fear that stops you in your tracks!

Mystery Too
Your vocals are sweet there Chandra, nice, another wonderful happening song with interesting soundscaping and ambient texturing.
