Phillip Foxley is a multi-genre songwriter, guitarist and music producer. He writes and produces music for licensing or covers from his home studio in North Wales, UK. With influences from every corner of the world, Foxley has now released his own debut album entitled “I’ll Try ‘Till I Die”, an eclectic collection of original blistering blues rock guitar and soft acoustic and piano tracks written over the years. Foxley says “Every track on this album means so much and every note is from my very soul”. “This album is like my musical life story. It’s also a ‘big’ album in that there are over twenty tracks on it already and, because I don’t intend to release any more albums, I just keep adding tracks to it as they are released”. Stop by anytime. Phillip Foxley
On The Fly - Instrumental Here's a whimsical, light guitar instrumental originally written for vocals way back in 2015. Remixed in June 2024.
Pictures A demo song with my rough guide vocals, just to air an idea in my head. Hope you'll bare with me until I (or someone else) records this properly.
Hey You! Here's a 'kick the door down' Blues Rock guitar instrumental, originally intended as radio show introduction theme (same as a couple of my other instrumental tracks) if anyone wanted it - must have been a phase I was going through. :-) Remixed for an improved quality sound and released in July 2024 . Such a blast to play live.
All Or Nothing (Instrumental) How about this 'madness and mayhem' guitar Rock instrumental track originally written for vocals way back in 2015 and, because I couldn't find any vocalist to sing it at the time, it was re-worked and released as an instrumental in 2024. Just a lot of noise and such great fun to play live.
Racing Thru Time A Robert Plant / Dave Gilmour influenced Blues Rock demo version of a song originally written way back in 2015. Remixed for licensing or covers in June 2024.
She Said Yes! A light-hearted Buzzcocks / Pete Shelley influenced punk song about a young guy eventually plucking up courage to ask a girl for a date.
The Point Of No Return A sobering tale about environmental pollution caused by human activity. "We need to act right now each and every one of us to take the next big step for future generations"
She Burned Me Down! Here’s a simple, light-hearted but ultimately optimistic Texan style Blues Rock track about an old biker dreaming about losing out in love but moving on to a new adventure. Stylistic influences are ZZTop - LaGrange and that classic film Easy Rider.
I've Forgotten Something Else! - feat Pete Hopkins This is a tale about a forgetful guy who has to be constantly reminded about times and dates and being in the right place etc. Could be any one of us, right?
It's Up To Us! (Piano Version) A simple, piano version of a pop song demo, written in August 2017 with a strong, positive message about unity, understanding and freedom in today's world. Deri's superb vocal transformed a simple song into something special for me.
Racing Thru Time - Instrumental A Dave Gilmour / Robert Plant influenced Blues Rock instrumental version of a song originally written way back in 2015. Remixed for licensing or covers in June 2024.
No Problems (Instrumental) An acoustic guitar instrumental piece written in Feb 2016 specifically for a film clip. The Director wanted a simple, understated yet melodic acoustic guitar piece approx 2 mins long. This is what I came up with.
I'll Be Right There - feat.Enrique Jimenez Aristi A simple, classic rock track originally written in 2015 but reworked in April 2021. Billy Idol was the main influence for this one. Thanks Billy!
I Don't Want To Go! I was inspired to write this song after reading about a German guy called Faust who was reputed to have made a deal with the devil in exchange for knowledge and power. The story made me wonder if there are others out there today in secret with the same deal.
It's Up To Us! (Rock Version) A simple pop rock song written in August 2017, with a strong message about unity, understanding and freedom in today's world.
Promises - feat. Anna Yanova-Cattoor (unplugged) Ever had your heart broken? Then how about this gentle but sad blues song originally written in 2013, about a relationship destroyed by a partner's constant lies and deceit.
Indian Summer (Instrumental) I wrote this song lounging around in a hammock with a few beers on a boiling hot day in the summer of 2012.
Demon Lover A simple Blues Rock song originally written way back in 1997 and released as an instrumental in Nov 2012. Thought it was now time to try a vocal version.
I Don't Mind! - feat vocal by Anna Yanova-Cattoor Written in May 2015 with Duffy's great singing style in mind, this track is quite a departure from my usual blues rock style - it just sort of came out during a guitar knockabout and I quite liked it.
