2016 Interview with Scott Stambaugh
"My first encounter with Neil was when I wrote him several years after I had left the site, about an issue with an artist I brought to IAC. I soon found that even though he had experienced some frustration with the site he had become majority owner of, he still cared about IAC and the artists there. We had a long running conversation about the future of the site and although at the time I was quite adamant that I didn't want to do a relaunch til the stat situation was fixed, it did become pretty clear that the site was still valued by the heart of the membership, so we did the relaunch anyway. Then we got the stats rolling and did some other vital fixes so what's now IMP is without a doubt superior to the original site. Course I got to know Neil during this time and found him to be a serious artist and musical spokesman. This interview is long overdue but it comes at a time when Neil is releasing a new series of books about his life and music. The man has a lot of stories and there is much to learn from him and his journey."

Had my heart not been thinking of the members of IACMusic at the time and how I felt the site made such a valuable contribution to them as artists, I would not have made a personal as well as the very large financial investment that I made in the site. I sincerely felt that the site was one of if not the best site on the planet for songwriters, musicians, artists and bands. I continue to feel so, albeit sadly acknowledging at the same time that in several respects the site has fared poorly over the last seven or eight years. I and several other long time members continue to work toward re-establishing a path for the site to reach the potential that we truly believe is within its grasp, recognizing at the same time that nothing worthwhile in achieving ever comes easily. I share your feeling of our long friendship being a personal treasure and value it so, and I continue to hang onto the dream of a ‘fireside song swap under the stars’ coming to pass one day - perhaps somewhere on the banks of 'where the mighty rivers meet.' As for my writing, I write from my heart, Jimmy, and am not ashamed to wear it on my sleeve and on the pages and in the chapters of my life. Cowboy

Me singing. Wish i could sing like Bowie. Maybe one day someone with the right accrutements. I tried to make it different. Released my version of the B52,s Rock lobster breakbeat mix no guitars. The big question is i copied Abba SOS figured it out. I use all the original synths and Pianos
