EM GIEL
Lovely Rainbows On A Beautiful Day
I learned on my own to play the guitar at the age of 7, one year after I listened for the first time to "Can't buy me love" many years after the Beatles had already split. My father, Johann Giel, who used to play 4 different instruments and passed away at the end of March 2010, was the one who introduced me to music and Simon & Garfunkel and showed me the first 4 accords. My uncle Fridel not only bought me my first guitar when I was 6 years old but also bought me all my records and enabled me to experience the full Beatle mania tidal wave. We used to play for hours Blues, Jerry Lee Lewis, Chuck Berry (Fridel on the Piano, little EM on the guitar). The most important lesson he taught me is that I can overcome every hurdle in life as long as my 6 strings are around and as long I keep a great sense of humor.

Green Corn and Spring
This song was inspired by a West African rhythm which is similar to a lot of folk music. The time signature is 7/8 but feels more like 12/8 as it's all in triplets! I wrote the lyrics in 2007 after terrible floods in the UK and devastating floods in Kenya. Although the tune seems happy, the message is serious.I was delighted that Jo May agreed to play the bodhran and spoons on this track with Paddy Uglow on the fiddle. It reached #1 in all genres here for several weeks! Mastered version.

Rain, Rain It Poureth Down!
Guitarist and Composer Lawrence Blatt has been performing his finger-style-guitar compositions for over 30 years. His new release: "Fibonacci's Dream" is the culmination of that history in layers and organic part writing. With thirteen soothing guitar melodies, many of which are played in open tunings, the collection can be called 'acoustic solitude.' After spending years studying classical music as a violinist, Blatt's melodic yet intricate interaction of moods that lay beneath his alternate tunings are balanced by careful dynamics and intonation.

"...Los Angeles-based indie-pop duo The Sugarplum Fairies play the sort of cinematic dream-pop that drifts down from the dusty rafters and unfolds before the listener like the ghosts of 1000 Hotel California hangovers. The country cousin to Mazzy Star and Portishead, their songs are glimpses through tightly drawn curtains, vignettes of men and women in constant peril of being swallowed up by the vastness of their surroundings; the endless highways, the distant horizons, the wasted lives..."

Marian Call
I Wish I Were a Real Alaskan Girl
Marian was born into a family of musicians and artists, and she was raised on a steady diet of Bach, Beethoven, and Joni Mitchell. Over twenty years she has performed with chamber choirs, jazz combos, early music groups, rock bands, a gospel choir, and experimental music ensembles, and all of these influences (and more) meet and mingle in her own writing. She completed her bachelor’s degree in composition and vocal performance at Stanford University in 2004. After graduation, she spent two years pouring coffee, waiting tables, and listening to good music in Anchorage coffee shops, slowly learning about the craft of songwriting through osmosis and eventually through practice. She continues to write and record in Anchorage, and tour outside of Alaska as opportunities present themselves, and she looks forward to collaborating with friendly musicians from all backgrounds.

TRIBE OF EDEN
PARADISE
TRIBE OF EDEN IS A BAND OF HARD-ROCKERS/SPIRITUAL WARRIORS who are sending out a new kind of positive energy. They're injecting the music with positive messages about believing in yourself; about owning the power of your own soul; about brotherhood, and the healing power of love.

Snows They Melt the Soonest
At the moment we're recording new songs and re-recording old ones for our forthcoming LP. We've finished one song called 'Snows They Melt the Soonest'. It's a traditional song as well as the other two. No one's got any idea if the whole album will ever come out, but we'll do the best we can.

Scott Allen Fraser
Hurricanes
Scott Allen Fraser, country rock sing/songwriter and esteemed Georgia son, has been singing for as long as he can remember. As a five year old, Scotty first performed with a children’s quartet on a weekly church television broadcast. He has been comfortable before live audiences ever since. Scotty has performed for many years for anyone willing to listen, anywhere he has been fortunate enough to hang his hat.
