Nicky Swann is a singer/songwriter who has been a regular performer on the UK acoustic circuit since April 2007. Nicky was born in South Devon in October 1972 and has been based in the area ever since.
Her contemporary acoustic roots sound draws on elements of folk, country
and blues. Her influences include Carole King, Patsy Cline, Damien Rice,
Lucinda Williams and Etta James
After splitting in 2006 with her long term covers duo guitarist she searched for a replacement, only to be disappointed by those she auditioned.

of guitarist herself and quickly expanded her three chord repertoire and was gigging
again after six months.
She started to write new material and relaunched herself as a singer/songwriter.
She has achieved a growing, well respected reputation in such a short space of time,
singing from the heart and captivating audiences with her emotionally honest delivery.
Nicky's achievements so far include, winning Artsbase 2008 singer/songwriter award,
performing for BBC Radio Devon accompanied by folk singer and fiddle player
Jackie Oates. Supporting Megson, Angie Palmer, Corrine West and Roy Bailey.
